The Equine World Class Database aims to provide a central repository for Equine and Human data related to the Equine Pathway and World Class Development and Performance programmes. These programmes are funded by the Equestrian World Class Programme and are made up of three key elements the World Class Equine Pathway which aims to identify and nurture talented young horses, World Class Development Programme which aims to identify and develop talented young riders and the World Class Performance Programme which includes our European, World and Olympic riders. The funding comes from UK Sport and exists to improve results at international level and increase the number of medals won by Great Britain.

The aim of the World Class Equine Database is to capture standard data from Riders, Owners, their Home Teams and their Equine Partners. Over time and as the database becomes more established it will provide a central point from which the World Class Team can create reports which will enable them to efficiently manage team logistics, team clothing and accreditation records. For Riders it will provide a consistent method by which they can record base data and results relating to their horses on the World Class Programmes.

The World Class Equine Database intends to be a living repository which will develop over time. For further information /enquiries please contact email to sarah.armstrong@bef.co.uk
